How to Sign Up for Twitter and Create a New Twitter Account

Since the interface of the microblogging service Twitter (Twitter) was translated into Russian, it has become increasingly popular among the Russian-speaking audience. Having decided to join the multi-million dollar army of Twitter, some users are interested in how to sign up on Twitter.

Actually, registration on Twitter – a fairly simple process, you do not have to fill out forms with a large number of fields and provide a lot of personal data. To register, go to the main page of the site (http://twitter.com). The main page must be translated into Russian; if it suddenly turned out to be in some other language, find the language selection menu in the upper right corner of the page and select Russian from the drop-down list.

To register, you only need to fill in three fields: name and surname, email address and password… Of course, no one forces you to use your real first and last name, you can enter some kind of alias instead. The e-mail address must be entered by all means, as it is required to confirm the registration. Choose a password that is strong enough to reliably protect your account. After filling in all the fields, click the “Register” button.

The system will check the data you entered and redirect you to registration continuation page… On it, you can once again check the correctness of the e-mail address, change the password (if the system notifies you that it is not strong enough) and select a username. How does the username differ from the first and last name that you entered at the initial stage of registration?

Username is your username (nickname), which you will use to log into the site, and other users will use to contact you. In the nickname, you can use only Latin letters and numbers, as well as the underscore. The system itself will offer you a username based on the data you entered, but you can change it to any one both during registration and after it (the main thing is that the name you have chosen is free).

The name and surname are your personal data, which will be displayed in your profile next to your nickname. They can be entered in any language and use spaces; they do not have to be the same or even associated with the username. These details are not needed to log into your account, they only allow other users to identify you. Find Twitter Users, by the way, you can carry out both by pseudonym and by name and surname.

After checking all the entered data again and checking (or unchecking) the checkboxes “Remember me on this computer” and “Adapt Twitter based on recently visited web pages”, you can click the button “Create an account”.
